ABOUT DOUBLE CHECK COMICS

Double Check Comics came about because I was getting tired of looking up omnibus contents and comparing issue lists by hand. As Marvel has started moving towards chronological omnibus releases, they increasingly overlap with the event and creator based books that are already out there, so there's more and more crossovers to keep track of.

The example I kept coming back to was how the X-Men: Age of Krakoa series of omnibuses overlapped with the X-Men by Jonathan Hickman Omnibus. I could compare the contents lists and work it out, but it was a fiddly thing to do by hand. It really felt like exactly the sort of job a small tool should do instead, and amazingly enough I couldn't find one.

Maybe it does exist out there and I just missed it. If so, don't tell me about it - I've spent too much time making this! Hopefully it's useful to other omnibus collectors too.

For information about the data behind the comparisons, see the Data & credits page.

The slogan says "don't double dip", but don't take that too seriously! I know plenty of completionists will double dip anyway (I certainly do).

It's still a work in progress, and the underlying data is not perfect. If you find something incorrect or have an idea that would make the tool more useful, please send feedback.
