GRAND COMICS DATABASE

The majority of omnibus publication and issue content data comes from the Grand Comics Database (GCD), a volunteer built comics database. Massive thanks to its maintainers and contributors for their work that makes this tool possible.

GCD data is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License . Double Check Comics uses this data to identify Marvel omnibus editions and compare their recorded contents.

The tool currently relies on me manually updating the local database, so recent releases or corrections may be missing if I haven't updated it recently. The current GCD data snapshot is dated: .

MARVEL DATABASE

Where GCD does not contain sufficient contents information for an omnibus, Double Check Comics may use data from the Marvel Database as a fallback.

Marvel Database is a community-maintained Marvel wiki. Text from Marvel Database is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License.

DATA LIMITATIONS

Comparison results reflect the information currently recorded in GCD, which can be incomplete or require correction.

If you spot a result that looks wrong, please send feedback with the comparison link and any useful details. If you are familiar with GCD, you may also be able to correct the underlying record directly.

KNOWN DATA GAPS

Here are a few known GCD data gaps that can affect comparisons - and mostly a note to myself to submit a few GCD corrections when I get the chance. 🙂

  • Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Omnibus - the underlying contents record currently has no issues linked to it.
  • Spider-Man by Roger Stern Omnibus - the underlying contents record currently lists only 9 issues.
